Reprocessing units for medical products (AEMP) in container format

The reprocessing unit for medical products (AEMP) in container format was designed for prolonged continuous deployment in a container protected construction, compatible with nearly every climate region on Earth.

The system meets all requirements for reprocessing of medical products set by the commission of hospital hygiene and infection prevention (KRINKO) at the Robert-Koch institute (RKI) and those set by the federal institute of medicine and medical devices (BfArM) “requirements of hygiene in medical products”.

Thus reprocessing, compliant with regulatory and norm standards (Critically A and B according to “DGSV for the Classification of Medical Devices 2013”) of:

  • Thermostable
  • Thermally unstable

medical products is enabled.

All relevant components in the reprocessing chain have digital interfaces for process documentation.

All equipment is packaged in 3 specially developed, climate protected ISO standard 20ft. transport containers:

  • Container for storing sterile goods (CLS)
  • Container for sterilization 2 x 4 SSU (CST)
  • Container for transport accessories (CTZ)

The containers for storing sterile goods and sterilization 2 x 4 SSU (CLS and CST) have, besides transportation, additional functions in operating modus, as described by their names.

Total weight (apx.):                                       27.000 kg
Installation dimensions (min):                      10.8 m x 13.8 m
Useable area:                                               62 m² + 12 m² + 12 m²

Product Description

The maximum throughput of instrument sets (9 h / d) is based on the use of instrument sets with the maximum dimensions (L/W/H) of 600 x 300 x 156 mm:

  • With sterile container 31
  • Without sterile container 60

Maximal throughput of flexible endoscopes (9 h/d) :

  • 6 – 8

Higher numbers can be achieved through individually modified configurations.

The device set-up corresponds to the work processes starting from the arrival of contaminated medical products (MP) to the delivery of the sterilized MP.

Separation of impure and clean areas is ensured by construct. An airlock with changing room allows entrance to personnel.
